IV Infusion Therapy

Integrity Home Health Care Services' nursing staff are experienced and trained in IV infusion therapy. Infusion therapy involves administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is prescribed to patients that cannot be treated with oral medications due to the severity of their condition. 

 

  • IV infusion therapy administration of antibiotics, hydration, alpha-1 antitrypsin medications, and more.

  • Placement and management of peripheral intravenous catheters.

  • Care and management of central venous catheters (PICC Lines, TAC Lines, Implanted Ports, Midlines).

  • Experienced and trained in First Dose Protocols.

  • Blood specimen collection while on IV infusion therapy, where ordered, to monitor effectiveness of treatment.

  • Communication with the other members of the healthcare team regarding identified care needs and response to therapy.

  • Coordination of care with specialty pharmacy that provide the IV medication and supplies.
